Hello Loves, as promised today is part two of my skincare basics series! Today I want to talk about some of the moisturizers I have tried and loved. First let me begin by saying that moisturizing the skin is SUPER important, without moisture our skin would look like a raisin! ok so maybe im exaggerating but seriously without moisture we would have pretty bad looking skin. When we expose our skin to the elements everyday such as, sun, wind, smog, makeup, we pollute it. So what do we do to remove the pollution at the end of the day?... We cleanse and exfoliate, which is great but this also sucks out some of the moisture in our skin. Applying moisturizer is like giving your skin a tall glass of water, to hydrate and replenish it. I always apply my moisturizer after I cleanse and tone and I make sure to moisturize my neck as well, because it is one of the first places on the body to begin to show signs of aging.
Cetaphil is one of my favorite moisturizers and it is so affordable. $10 at walmart $12 at walgreens this is actually made for dry sensitive skin. it has no smell to it and lasts up to a year! its not thick at all but makes the face feel instantly hydrated. if you are oily like me I recommend only using this moisturizer at night just to keep the face from looking greasy.
This Clean and Clear moisturizer is very light weight, oil free and contains acne medication, so if you suffer from acne or frequent breakouts this will be perfect for you. it has no smell and is about $6 at Walmart.
The last but definitely not least of my favorite moisturizers is the Origins Ginzing moisturizer. this product is truly amazing, as all of Origins products this moisturizer is plant based and contains coffee beans and ginseng to make the skin look more radiant and awake. I love the smell its like putting fresh orange juice on your face! I hope this post was helpful and until next time stay blessed and beautiful xoxo
